We have an amazing panel discussion lined up with industry experts on this topic. You can submit your questions beforehand and it will be read out on the night.

Katharina joined the Quirk team in 2008. Kat travelled abroad before coming back to SA to earn a degree in Film Production and Media Studies at UCT, and then went on to an honours in Brand Leadership from the Vega School. She was recently awarded a Masters in Media Theory and Practice from UCT. Kat started as an intern herself, and went on to play a major role in developing and managing the Quirk Graduate Programme that exists today. Alongside Lyndi Lawson-Smith she co-founded and built Quirk Education, producing and eventually managing the production of content and video production for their elearning and other courses. She is currently Head of Courses, responsible for both materials and the academic coordinators, with the growing Quirk Education team.
Nikki Cockcroft graduated from UCT with a business degree in Information Systems and a post graduate degree in Marketing. After starting her career as IT Manager at Acceleration she soon realised she had a passion for online media and thereafter moved into the position of Campaign Manager. In March 2003, Nikki joined 365 Digital as Business Development Manager, progressing through the ranks to become CEO. As CEO she successfully introduced additional business areas including that of web development, ad operations and content syndication. After building 365 Digital into a profitable business, she oversaw a successful Management Buyout of the business and subsequent sale to Primedia. Nikki was appointed as CEO of Primedia Online a year later in September 2007. In 2010 she was appointed as CEO of Prezence Digital and in July 2011 Nikki moved to retail giant Woolworths as Head of Online.
Whilst studying Business Science (UCT), Robyn always believed she would end up being an out-of-work actress. However she graduated, stumbled into an internship at a Digital Agency and the rest is history. After dabbling in Digital, playing in Mobile and eating, sleeping and breathing Social, she is now embarking on the Freelance Chapters.
She is passionate about using the social networks for good, as well as building valuable communities for her clients. She still has lofty dreams of winning an Oscar.
After studying at Cape Tech for her After studying at Cape Tech for her Marketing Diploma, having no idea what to do in the real world, Samantha fell into recruitment by working for one of the top corporate agencies in SA. At 23 she founded her first recruitment company and then decided to merge it with a larger organization, however things did not work out as expected and this led her to start Nu Beginnings.
Sam is totally crazy about people, careers and IT but realizes that the recruitment industry is taking a real knock with regards to the ethics and service level. Nu Beginnings was founded to change the way recruitment is done, perceived and received. Specialising in the IT field for the past 8 years, Samantha has collected a pool of knowledge and experience in the recruitment industry.
